Did you know Americans in most states can order their own lab tests without a physician?  As I explained in my bio, I believe that people should feel empowered to ask questions, seek answers and make decisions, regarding their own body, mind and health. If you would like to order your own lab tests either because you feel your concerns have been ignored by your doctor, they refused to order tests you felt were needed or simply that you want to gather your own information about your health, you can do so. Keep in mind that it is still important to see a doctor and if you do get abnormal results on any testing you do bring those to your health care provider right away.
