Who I Work With

If you’d like a more detailed overview, you can explore a more comprehensive list of conditions I treat and the approaches I use here

Care in Washington vs. Vermont

  • I provide full-spectrum naturopathic integrative care for people in Washington. Visits are available in person in Seattle and by telehealth statewide. This includes:

    • diagnosis and treatment

    • prescribing

    • preventive care

    • chronic illness management

    • the option for me to serve as your primary care provider

  • In Vermont, I offer telehealth-only adjunctive and collaborative care. You will maintain a local primary care provider for in-person exams, urgent concerns, and routine medical needs. My role is to support your health through functional and naturopathic strategies, including:

    • functional and preventive medicine labs and evaluations

    • “mystery illness” investigation and clinical guidance

    • Lyme disease and tick-borne illness testing, interpretation, and ongoing support

    • complex chronic illness management

    • nutritional, botanical, and naturopathic strategies for prevention and for acute and chronic conditions

I can collaborate with your local physician as needed to support continuity, coordinate care, and help ensure you have a full team in place.

I am currently in the process of obtaining prescriptive authority in Vermont and will offer pharmaceutical prescribing in the near future, once approval is finalized.

Treatment Approach

Care with me is individualized and collaborative. I meet patients where they are and use a data-driven and patient centered approach when making treatment recommendations. This includes your lab results, personal and family history, genetics, environment, and your comfort level with various options.

I draw from a wide, integrative toolkit, including:

  • functional and conventional lab testing

  • lifestyle and nutrition planning

  • botanical and nutraceutical therapies

  • environmental and detox support

  • medications when appropriate

  • hormone optimization

  • mind-body and nervous system strategies

Your care plan is tailored to your physiology, history, preferences, and goals.

Membership-Based Care

I use a membership-based, insurance-supported model. This lets me take insurance for medical visits while still offering the level of communication, access, and support that complex or chronic conditions often require. It also allows me to keep a smaller patient panel so I can give each person the time and attention they deserve. Patients seeing me for Sublingual immunotherapy ONLY are exempt from membership.

  • Membership supports everything that improves access and communication outside of medical decision-making, including:

    • direct access to Dr. Stefano through secure messaging for brief, non-urgent questions between visits

    • priority scheduling

    • support for simple administrative needs between visits

    • Fullscript supplement dispensary savings (15% off every order, plus first-order and auto-refill discounts)

    • access to communication and coordination that insurance doesn’t cover

These are things insurance never pays for but make care smoother, especially for chronic and complex conditions.

  • Membership does not include anything that counts as clinical care, which must be done in a scheduled appointment or may be billed as a Non-Covered Service if done outside a visit. This includes:

    • medical visits

    • medical decision-making

    • diagnostic or treatment guidance outside scheduled appointments

    • anything billed to insurance

If your question or request crosses into medical evaluation or decision-making, I’ll let you know and help you schedule a visit.

  • $55 per month or $600 per year

This is for membership only. Medical visits are billed separately via insurance or cash pay.

  • Memberships can be canceled with 30 days’ written notice.

All membership fees are non-refundable, and benefits remain active through the end of your current billing cycle.

Insurance and Billing

  • Description text goes hereI am currently in-network with:

    • Premera Blue Cross

    • Lifewise

    • Kaiser PPO plans

Regence and Multiplan credentialing are pending.

I am not in-network with Medicare, Medicaid, Kaiser HMO, or non–Premera-administered BCBS plans.

Premera, Lifewise, and Regence share the Blue Cross Blue Shield branding but use separate networks. Your plan can confirm in-network benefits using my NPI.

  • If your insurance is out-of-network, visits are billed at out-of-network or cash rates.

You may be able to submit a superbill for partial reimbursement depending on your plan.

  • My cash rate is $400 per hour, billed in 15-minute increments.

This applies to patients who are out-of-network or choose not to use insurance.

Rates reflect time, complexity, and clinical needs. Certain services may have additional fees.
